I'm Eddie Kim, a writer, reporter and multimedia journalist living in Los Angeles, California.
Over the past five years, I've covered a spectrum of issues and subjects, from homelessness and race to art and food culture.
Good stories come from everywhere, and I'm pretty proud of my ability to cover anything, anytime — and gain real expertise in the process.
I've written for various publications including The Guardian, Variety, the award-winning hyperlocal weekly L.A. Downtown News, and Mel Magazine, where I'm currently writing features. I've also contributed to KPCC, KCRW, and KPFK as an on-air expert on Downtown L.A., homelessness and city politics.
I was editor-in-chief of the University of Southern California's student-run newspaper, the Daily Trojan. I received my B.A. in Print and Digital Journalism in 2013, with thesis honors from the USC Institute for Multimedia Literacy.
